I wanna start off that while I won't say I didn't buy this for the H scenes, I'm not much of an H gamer. This is in fact the first H game that I've played in 10+ years. I was looking for a match-3 game and it seemed to have interesting mechanics, and of course the H scenes were a bonus. But I felt like writing this review to talk about a few things here that buyers may need to know before getting into the game.Also I don't play match-3 games so much. I played Bejewelled and the Puzzle Quest games, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert on the topic. So I dunno if any of the mechanics featured in this game are new and unique or were already featured in other games, but I'll talk about them anyway.It's an H game. H is short for hentai (pervert, perverted) in Japanese, and is basically the way to classify not just games with nudity, but games that have actually perverse content. This may be unsettling to people who aren't used to the concept of Japanese hentai. For example, there are "forced" scenes, including tentacle scenes. Just be forewarned.There is some mild gore involved. There's a scene where a tentacle monster bursts out of a woman's stomach, sorta like that chest burster scene in the Alien movie. I wasn't expecting it (I should've as soon as I saw the tentacles really), so frankly it was a little unsettling. But it isn't like super gruesome. Just know that this kind of thing is in the game. It also only seems to be that one scene (it's with the miko\/shrine maiden, after the full sex scene).You don't need to play through the sex scenes to advance the game. You can even turn off the clothes breaking system, turning the game more or less into a "safe" game. To advance the story and unlock the next parts, you only need to defeat the character 4 times. There is no sex or nudity in the regular story parts; you need to specifically play through their sex scene to see that stuff. So if you ignore it, you'll never see it.There is a turn limit. If you reach the turn limit without defeating your opponent, you lose.The opponent doesn't play the board aside from changing a few of the gems via skills. Otherwise they don't manipulate the board at all, and you can see what they're going to do next by their life\/status bar. The later opponents have very powerful skills that can really mess up your combos.It's actually a collection of short stories, all of which seem to have some sort of supernatural occurrences involved one way or another. You don't play a fixed character yourself, but your character will change and be whoever the story requires for the moment. The writing isn't particularly deep and can be interesting in parts, but honestly it kinda drags on at times and I just feel like skipping right into the gameplay already.The voice acting is noticeably low budget. I wouldn't say it's bad. Actually I'd say it's the equipment that they used that's bad. Then again this is also a game with a very low price, so they probably didn't bother with professional recording. But it did make me wonder if the voice acting was absolutely necessary.In stark contrast to the voice acting, the music is very nice. The character\/stage themes fit very well, and even the music in the menus sounds great. It may be worth buying the OST album DLC if you like it too.Not a big deal, but one of the sound effects used in this game is the same as another sound used in another game called Pox Nora, which I played for many years. I know that sound so well. They both likely bought the sound from the same library.The game is censored. There are uncensor patches around, and it's a fairly simple procedure if you know anything about computers at all or can follow simple instructions. But some people weren't expecting censorship. For those that didn't know, censorship especially of human genitalia is required by an old archaic law that I believe came from over 100 years ago in Japan and still hasn't been repealed, so games and other media like this have to cover their butts, figuratively speaking.The match-3 game is actually fun and challenging. It feels very different to the other match-3 games I've played. I find myself more interested in the match-3 stuff than the H stuff. Frankly, with the internet just openly accessible, if you really wanted H stuff you can just search around elsewhere and find something even more interesting. But the match-3 aspect of this game only exists in this game. Not that the H stuff in this game is bad.In fact after completing the game I completely turned off the nudity stuff. I'm not saying you should too, just saying that I'm enjoying the core gameplay loop just fine and it's not like I'm actually looking at the girls during play.The "challenge mode" I think they call it, where you play 12 consecutive rounds, requires that you understand how to deal with each opponent, as they're quite different. Some are incredibly tanky either due to armor, heals or damage prevention. Some have insane offense and skills you can't ignore or else they'll kill you. One of them (in the DLC) has an evasion and counter attack mechanic, which is frankly super annoying, but if you know how to deal with her it's quite interesting.This mode is available upon finishing all the stories of the base game. If you have the DLC, the new characters will randomly show up in the mode as well.So far the actual gameplay (not the H scenes) is interesting enough to keep me playing. As with all match-3 games there's a lot of luck involved, and it's super satisfying to have long cascading combos. The mechanics are kinda interesting and have so far kept me trying to make the best moves possible per turn, considering the turn limit and the fact that the opponent can change the flow of the game significantly.-edit: If you're playing the game in Japanese, they're actually using Chinese simplified font for Japanese it seems. As a result some kanji looks strange but should still be comprehensible.. I bought it for the game not the girls shut up. the match 3 game is okay for spending time, the H scenes are also a bonus.. Extremely bare-bones Match-3 puzzle gameplay with purchasable "upgrades" that don't really change the way you play in any significant way. The protagonist not only changes with each chapter but also sometimes multiple times per chapter, making it difficult to see yourself in their shoes. Music's pretty solid.The girls are sexy but the situations they're put into range from interesting to unsettling (incest, molestation by zombies, tentacles, golden showers, conception and instantaneous childbirth, BDSM from a fat otaku, etc) which some people may find unpleasant. If you're into that sort of thing you'll probably love that aspect of this game, otherwise just look up a playthrough on youtube to sate your curiosity and save yourself some pocket change.. don't think,just buy!andmust try uncensored patch. This game gives me mixed feelings. The good thing about this game is that it offers a lot of content for the cheap price tag. For $2 (USD), you get about five and a half hours of gameplay, which includes the cutscenes and two endings for each of the eight characters. The bad thing about this game is in the content itself: the gameplay is average and underdeveloped, the stories and writing are bad, and the "sex scenes" in the game are almost exclusively r4pe.(Edited because of Steam's censorship policies regarding "bad words.")Bulletpoints:1. GameplayThe gameplay itself, matching gems, is pretty standard. It's not bad, but it's not much improved from the Bejeweled series this game takes inspiration from. There are four gems to match: Physical, which causes a physical attack on your opponent; Magical, which causes a magical attack; Health, which heals you; and then Rage, which raises your "Rage" level and causes your attacks to be stronger. Outside of these gems, there are certain potions you can use once during the battle that do different things depending on the ones you choose. Alongside, you can purchase different upgrades for the gems as you earn money.Here's the problem: You may think that some characters may be weaker or stronger against Physical attacks or Magical attacks. No--instead, both Magical and Physical attacks do the exact same thing to all characters. There is no need to have the two gems be two different gems except to fill space.Aside from this, the game is relatively easy. It was no challenge at all and almost all of the upgrades went completely unused. The last and hardest character to fight, Martha, was only hard because she was a healer and would continuously heal herself and, eventually, I would run out of moves. But even she did not take long to completely defeat.2. WritingEach character has her own story. Each setting is different, each society is different, and each person you, the player, play as, is different--the only exception to the latter is that there are several times that you play as a demon, and it gets old.I'm not sure if it's the writing itself or perhaps this game has a poor translation, but the writing is not great nor interesting whatsoever. No storyline captivated me, and most stories are chalked full of typical anime cliches. Now, I'm aware that people likely don't buy this game for the actual plot. But good plots do help make any kind of game better, and this is simply not the case in Mirror. You'll find yourself yawning quite a bit.Each character has two different endings depending on what you choose to do during the sex scenes. There are the "Pleasure" endings, which are the good endings, and the "Pain" endings, which are the bad endings. There are a few exceptions where the Pain endings were, in my view, better than the Pleasure endings, but otherwise, the endings fit their names. The endings are VERY different from each other, so don't expect "slight" differences like in most games with low budgets.3. Sex ScenesRegardless, whether you play as a demon wanting to corrupt and murder women, an explorer who wants to learn more about the Orc species, a woman who yearns for divinity, or a fat otaku at Anime Expo, almost all of the storylines end with your character r4ping the woman. Out of the eight women total who are included in the base game, there is only one woman who is not assaulted and r4ped.The women scream, beg for you to stop, and cry. Almost all of them are tied up so that they cannot move or escape. In the very first storyline, you tie down a thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. In the sex scene within, while she asks you to untie her and to have mercy upon her, you can choose to be gentle or rough with her sexually. If you're gentle, you get the Pleasure ending, where she sticks around with you and has sex with you again.In the Pain ending, however, you tie her up once more and give her to the servants of a king she previously stole from. Your character tells them to either kill her or, if they wish to free her, the servants must "have their way with her" for thirty minutes before setting her free. They take the latter option and r4pe her until she passes out, but continue to assault her while she's unconscious anyway (and passing out during sex and the sex continuing after is very common in this game).Aside from the r4pe, the game seems to believe that all women can and will squirt, as well as produce milk from their breasts even before they have a child. Many of the physical positions the women find themselves in either subtly or blatantly show the lack of knowledge in proper female anatomy. There is a distinct lack of body diversity in the game. This is not necessarily a totally bad thing, but if you cover the women's faces, the bodies are the same. If you're into small t!ts, I have bad news for you, because all the women have gigantic bungalows. Most of the nudity in this game is censored. This is because Steam has strict rules in regards to adult content. Nipples are covered with cartoon flowers and ^aginas, d!cks, and d!ldos are censored with a blushing cartoon bunny. Both censor markings are very jarring and do not align with the art style of the game at all, and can ruin immersion. Otherwise, there is still a lot you can see, hear, and do--and the stuff that you cannot see, well, there just isn't much left to the imagination. If you're looking for a Huniepop substitute until the sequel comes out, and if the sex scenes don't bother you\/are your thing, you may enjoy this game. But enjoying the sex scenes, which is what this game is all about, was very difficult for me to simply overlook the fact that these women did NOT want to have consensual sex with me. If I wanted to play a game like that, I would just walk outside.. Please don't tell my parents.
